Tutorial: How to Create Perfect Edgestitching

November 16, 2012 by SewMaris 2 Comments

Some things are just slower than molasses in February to accomplish.

Like learning to edit videos, for example. You would think that someone who is very technically astute would be able to pick up learning a new software program rather quickly, but it sure did not happen that way around here.

But enough griping, and on to the video! I hope you learn a thing or two about how to create beautiful edgestitching on your garments, and I would LOVE to hear from you soon. About anything at all.

Happy sewing!

I love the idea of using a blind hem foot for edge-stitching. A former roommate of mine told me once that top-stitching/edge-stitching is what makes a garment look professionally made, but it also has to be done well! I’m getting better at it, but using the foot as a guide will help a ton 🙂 Thanks!

Thanks Diana! It REALLY helps. Even my very young, new students can do good edgestitching using the blind hem/edgestitching foot! And pracice indeed does help. Happy sewing!
