Quick Tip Tuesday: Interfacing strips

February 25, 2014 by SewMaris 2 Comments

strips of interfacing

Pre-cut strips of interfacing so they are ready-to-go when you need them. I love having some on hand for zipper insertions and other things. It really stabilizes the stitching line so the fabric doesn’t ripple on top of the zipper tape. What do you use your interfacing scraps for?

Yes! I sew lots of knits so I keep 1″ cross grain strips for shoulders and 1.25″ for hems. I store them in labled zip bags . Too annoying to clear off space to rotary cut once I get going!
