Sewing Timeout

I am officially in sewing timeout, friends. And not happy about it.

Empty SewMaris Studio

Originally I thought we would be able to be back in our house by Friday, but it is looking like it could be early next week before my sewing room is ready for occupancy again. So.Not.Happy.

Hopefully gleaming, newly-refinished wood floors will make it all seem worthwhile. In the meantime, I am playing with new room arrangements and potential new furniture requirements. I took my serger and Bernina 710 in for a little spa time, so I am sure they appreciate the rest. 😉

Stay tuned for the great “reveal”, and enjoy your sewing time!

Happy sewing,

    • Haha – this is the “before” pix. Hopefully the floors will be super awesome when they are done, and then my intention is to move back in with a new-and-improved layout + storage + organization. Fingers crossed!

  1. Wow, what a great space! I love the light. I look forward to seeing the after photos. I hope to build a sewing room from scratch in the next year, so I’d love to know what others are doing with their spaces (fabric storage, cutting table, pressing station, machines arrangement, etc.) 🙂
