I didn’t get to participate with your group sew-along but I love your blog and follow it regularly. Thanks for the nice Ziggy tutorials and links to other great information. Somehow you feel like a neighbor since I’m in the Seattle area too. I just made my Ziggy this weekend – I’m obsessed with Chanel Style jackets so I did a combo Chanel meets Moto boucle and zips lined with silk charmeuse – I’m really happy with the way it came out. Another great fitting Style Arc pattern. I posted a picture on my Instagram account @intostitches

Hi Karen! I love that you feel like a neighbor – that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy – thanks!!! I love your jacket – you did a great job on it. And it sounds like we have a mutual Style Arc love affair. 😉 Thank you so much for reading and commenting – I really love getting to know my readers better. Maybe we could even have coffee in Seattle sometime?

Hi! I am just about to embark on making a Ziggi jacket, so am looking at your sewalong posts for information. I was wondering if you have any posts about choosing a size and fitting? I have taken a look but haven’t spotted any, you launch straight into cutting from what I can see. I’m currently trying to choose which size to cut.

Rachel, my experience is that Style Arc runs quite true to body measurements. Now, this may not be true for you, but I find them to be much more close to the fit I like than Vogue, McCalls, Butterick, etc. I will say this jacket is a bit boxy – I did end up taking it in along the princess seams a bit – and also a bit short in the sleeves. Tho my arms and legs are both pretty long, so if you are more averagely proportioned that might not apply. It is a REALLY great jacket and I think you will enjoy wearing it very much. Best of luck!!
